Top Fringe Picks: Day 2

Second day of previews has had some corkers!

We’re really settling into the daily flow of flyer-flyer-coffee-show-show-flyer-flyer-drink-show-show already.  We’ve found a really handy indie guide to coffee places which is suiting us well (Zebra Coffee Company on Bank Street hit the spot today).  And hopefully this will be our handy indie guide for you in order to find out some of the best of the fest.

In amongst getting ourselves acquainted with the Edinburgh spirit on the Mile, we’ve also had our own preview of Captured kick off today (12.40pm @ Underbelly Cowgate).  What a lovely audience in such a unique venue – we’re so happy to be here!  So, here we go, our next three recommended shows for you all:

Le Bossu – With Wings 6pm @ Bedlam Theatre


Director Suzy says: “An incredible retelling of The Hunchback of Notre Dame delivered through a stunning display of music and dance – I laughed, I cried, & I want to see it again!”

3 words to sum up: Phenomenal, Emotional &  Talented

Infinity Pool  – Bea Roberts 4.35pm @ Bedlam Theatre


Writer Jenna says: “Armed with only projectors, a laptop and a TV monitor, Bea Roberts delivers an achingly poignant and astutely observed portrait of a woman yearning to take control of her life.  The most human story told through screens.” 

3 words to sum up: Inventive, Engrossing & Hilariously-Accurate (sorry for the cheeky hyphen)

In Our Hands – Smoking Apples 4pm @ Underbelly Cowgate


Stage Manager Shanice says: “A heart-warming story about a man and his struggle to survive using beautiful puppetry and simple imagery” 

3 words to sum up: Slick, Imaginative & Atmospheric.
