It’s all down hill from here!
Show 12/23 is done and we’re past half way. And let’s face it, the weather is finally doing well for us! Sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows.
Don’t miss Captured (12.40pm @ Underbelly Cowgate). Until then here are a few of our recent favourites:
Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons – Walrus 12.10pm @ Summerhall
Director Suzy says: “Incredible performances of an intriguing and thought-provoking premise. The law has limited everyone to 140 words a day – how can a relationship survive this level of communication? The charisma was electric and the relationship very believable. Made for lots of stimulating conversation after the show.“
3 words to sum up: Clever, Thought-Provoking & Gripping.
Us/Them – BRONKS 10am @ Summerhall
Writer Jenna says: “A terrorist hostage situation doesn’t sound like a family show, but the talented team behind Us/Them tell this harrowing story through the eyes of two utterly realistic likeable and hilarious school children. The play tackles big prevalent themes that are more important now than ever. It’s a thought-provoking must-see”
3 words to sum up: Insightful, Moving & Remarkable.
Rura – 8pm @ Queen’s Hall
Director Suzy says: “Only on for one night during the Festival, but still worth a review, because everyone needs to know about this sensationally heartfelt Scottish band. A stunning and mesmerising evening of fun and moving music with unique and talented musicians that blend amazingly and create brilliant entertainment. Truly Scottish but truly contemporary.”
3 words to sum up: Gorgeous, Unique, & Emotive.
