Top Brighton Fringe Picks 1

Fringe Fancies

We’re back at a festival and it’s the chance for us to catch more wonderful shows alongside ours!  We thought we’d give you the lowdown on some of what we’ve been seeing.  We had a fantastic first audience for Re: Production last night & we can’t wait to kick off at 6.30pm again today (The Warren @ Brighton Fringe). Only 3 shows to go! Here are our recommendations if you’re exploring Brighton over the next couple of days:

Rubber Ring – Velvet Trumpet Theatre Company Next performance 8pm Thursday @ The Warren: Theatre Box

Actor Catherine says: “Rubber Ring was a totally gripping one man show which proves that the power of good story telling always trumps elaborate staging. A beautiful reminder of what it is to be young: frustration at your parents, confusion about your sexuality, enthusiasm for life’s possibilities. Fantastically well written and captivatingly told, this is a beautifully touching and funny show from velvet trumpet. Catch it while you can. “

3 words to sum up: Playful, quick-witted, beautiful.

Octopus – Paper Tiger Productions & Greenwich TheatreNext performance 6.30pm Friday @ The Warren: Studio 2

Actor Dan says: “Octopus was a fast-paced frenetic look into what we’re all afraid of our future looking like: a nanny state, who classify your class of citizenship, based on where your Nan was born! Three women playing four; it was cringingly hilarious at points and who doesn’t love a bit of 90s music?”

3 words to sum up: Brexit, Britpop & Biryani.
