Happy New Year! White Slate are back from the festive break (some more tanned than others) to start our second term of innovative Parent & Baby workshops!
After the success of last term, where we created 2 short plays shared on the Gulbenkian stage (written and acted by workshop participants), we are more excited than ever to get back in the workshop room with more parents and their babies to create further challenging, diverse and inclusive theatre.
This term we will be focusing on the theme of change and growth, both for the positive and negative within the society we live in. Looking at how small changes could alter the way in which we live our lives, we are exploring these fascinating ideas through writing, directing, acting and analysing scripts. We are doing this all whilst the little ones play, sleep, cry, feed and generally make the whole room a much more creative and vibrant space.
We’ve had a brilliant first session back and we have loved getting to know new parents and catching up with past participants whilst discussing these big topics and getting our brains in gear to create new stimulating work.
Sessions run in Canterbury on Monday & Friday Mornings. If you have a baby under 18 months and would like to come along please drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
